I picked some characters from an episode of Adventure Time. This is a very unlikely friendship - the Snow Golem and a fire wolf pup! The poor little fire wolf just wants to give the Snow Golem some love, but every time he licks the Snow Golem he starts melting!
It's a really cute episode and I would recommend it! Even if you've never watched Adventure Time before. This is a very sweet and funny story all on its own.
For this mani I started with two coats of Orly Snowcone and then did a little bit of a "falling snow" inspired glitter gradient using OPI Pirouette My Whistle. The Snow Golem and the fire wolf pup were painted using fluid acrylic paints and a tiny brush. I topped the whole thing with two coats of Seche for a smooth finish.

ReplyDeleteI've never watched Adventure Time, but these are so adorable. I've been meaning to use Pirouette for something snowy as well, it's kind of perfect for it!

Thanks Vicky! Pirouette is one of my favorite glitters. It's just so pretty and goes with everything.
DeleteThe paint I use is Golden Fluid Acrylic. I do lots of thin layers to build up opacity and avoid bumpiness. I always thin the paint with water.
For the lines I find it's best to start with the outline and then fill in. I just seem to have better control like that!

ReplyDeletealso, i've never even considered using acrylic paint on my nails but you kinda make me want to try.
I love acrylic paint, but then I've been using it for a long time (for paintings). It's easier to work with than nail polish because it doesn't dry quite as fast!
